If you want marriage, PREPARE for it
There are things in life we have to prepare for in order to have them. If you want to be a doctor, lawyer or psychiatrist, you can’t just show up to a practice and provide service. You have to spend the appropriate amount of time receiving an education, practicing under supervision and building on your skills.
So then, why should preparing for the roles of wife and mother be any different?
Now, the amount of time each of us spends preparing might be different. Some may only need a few months while others may need years. When you walk with God, His timing is not like ours. He knows exactly how much time each of us needs to be ready to step into marriage and family. He also may place some of us in that role before we feel we’re truly ready.
But what if each of us – while in our walks with God as single women – took the time to prepare for marriage and motherhood? I think we’d stand a much better chance of beating the odds our society faces: a 50% divorce rate. Why? Because preparation helps you be the best version of you for the job at hand. It also helps you recognize when the man who’s best for you finally shows up!
So if you want to know what you can do NOW to prepare for the right man, marriage and beyond, join us for our next “Let’s Talk About It” Chat Night so we can discuss the following topics:
1) Living well while you’re still single
2) Getting your heart, mind and body ready
3) Healing from old wounds
