The 2016 Olympics is here!

Okay, so don’t laugh…the reason I’m so excited is that the first time I ever watched the Olympics was in 2012…en route to and on deployment in Africa…as an adult!

I just was never into sports but I felt inspired to watch as much of the Olympics as I could. And I LOVED IT! I will be watching this year and I’m sure I’ll be able to catch more of it.

This year I was thinking about all the training these athletes endure to be the best in their sport. I thought about all the preparation and the hopes they have…not knowing how things will turn out. I mean, can you imagine training for years and year and going up for that kind of competition not knowing if you’ll win? 

But life is like that. If you want something the best way to get it is to consistently prepare for it and hope for it.

 So here’s to the 2016 Olympics.
